It’s a little overcast and rainy today in Vancouver, a great day to take some time for a Sunday skin care regime!
An at home facial steam is a great way to purify and detoxify the skin and it also helps to promote calm and anti-stress from the aromatherapy.
Fill a bowl with boiled water and add in 5 to 6 drops of your favorite pure essential oil or herbs. Keep head at least 7 inches from the bowl and to trap in the steam cover head and bowl with a towel. Keep eyes closed and gently inhale the aromatherapy as the steam rises up. Continue for 5 to 7 minutes.
After steaming let the skin temperature cool and then apply a hydrating/balancing mist or skin toner. Follow with a facial massage using a natural carrier oil or your natural based moisturizer. ***facial steam may not be suitable for those with skin conditions such as rosacea, acne or other sensitive’s.
